Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, the burial site of many of Rock Hill's former influential African American citizens, is one of several black cemeteries throughout the Rock Hill area that the non-profit Legacy of African American Schools is trying to clean up and restore. In 2022 the group sponsored the erection of a SC State Historical Marker for the cemetery and in 2024 led a special Juneteenth tour of the cemetery to discuss the history of the site and social justice issues surrounding the abandonment of local black cemeteries.
